Regarding the Mysore Campus
We have been allotted rooms at random in the hostel so don’t expect your best friend to be your roommate.
Rooms: Tea bags, coffee and creamers are present all the time for you. Housekeeper makes the beds and cleans the room everyday. Even our towels are replaced regularly. We need not close the lights when leaving the room because they shut off automatically. There is an intercom in each room and hot and cold water is available for 24 hrs a day. Each room has an alarm, wall clock, study tables and electric boiler, A/C and TV with cable connection. We are given our personal “Infosys” mugs for coffee and tea at office.
General: Airtel and Hutch have their shops on campus. So have DTDC, First Flight and Speed Post. There are 3 ICICI ATMs. Power never goes off because Infosys has they have their own mini power plant. There is a general store, book store, saloon, clinic, laundry service (affordable). The stuff here in general is very modestly priced and good in quality. The general store also has a mini bakery for snacks. There is a library and cybercafé too.
Training and Induction: The induction programme is very well organized and managed. People here are very friendly in attitude right from the housekeeper to the HR managers. We almost have a feeling of being pampered. Attendance is automatic. Be sure to get vaccinated because you cannot take any leave here – falling sick can have very unpleasant consequences.
